Father Michael Naughton, born in Marshalltown, Iowa, professed vows at Saint John's Abbey in 1960 and was ordained a priest in 1966. He has his advanced degree in psychology. Father Michael directed the Liturgical Press for several years and initiated the Press's ongoing, successful participation in the annual Frankfurt (Germany) Book Fair. Currently Father Michael is prior at Saint Anselm's Benedictine monastery in Rome. When not on administrative assignments he serves as a professor in the Saint John's University School of Theology. Father Michael is an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and has been seen playing bridge on his computer. (2010) |
